20 Registrars join the cause to empower the Arabic language online

Los Angeles, CA - USA, December 13, 2013: Today dotShabaka Registry, the Dubai-based company behind the world's first cross-border Arabic
Top-Level Domain 'شبكة.', announced it has signed contracts with the first twenty Registrars who will distribute 'شبكة.' domain names.

The registrars who are among the retailers of the first domain names to be made available as part of the new gTLD program by ICANN are:

  • 101Domain.com
  • Ascio
  • Crazy Domains
  • Domaininfo AB
  • Domain.fr
  • eBrand Services
  • Encirca
  • Instra
  • IP Mirror
  • Key-Systems

Commenting on the signing of the Registry Registrar Agreements, Yasmin Omer, General Manager of dotShabaka Registry said, "Everything
that we do for the launch of 'شبكة.' is revolutionizing the Internet and we are extremely happy to welcome these registrars on-board. Each of
these registrars has displayed a strong commitment to supporting Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and especially an Arabic Internet,
and we are proud to have them as partners."

With the signing of these agreements, interested 'شبكة.' registrants, typically businesses keen on communicating with their Arabic audiences in
their native tongue as well as individuals who are passionate about promoting an Arabic Internet, can now apply for their own domain names.

Every 'شبكة.' registrant gets more than just a web address – they are essentially joining the movement to empower the Arabic language on the
Internet. "We will be working very closely with these registrars to provide a true end-to-end Arabic Internet experience. We acknowledge the
opportunity that exists is immense. The next 90 million Arabic Internet users will expect to navigate the Internet in their native language. We
welcome more registrars including truly Arabic registrars to join us and support the growth of the industry in the region," added Ms. Omer.

"dotShabaka Registry will support Arabic domain-name Registrars, Arabic content providers and Arabic applications to provide a truly Arabic
Internet experience from start to finish. We are fully equipped to serve this growing market and are investing and will continue to invest in the
region. Recently we've commenced work with a local marketing agency to develop what will be an extensive marketing campaign to further
raise awareness of 'شبكة.' and the Arabic Internet," she added.

"Expect to see the region's biggest brands and most influential people online utilizing the 'شبكة.' namespace to show that they support an Arabic
Internet and want to showcase Arabic content," Ms Omer concluded.
